My placer mining claim in Plumas county, on Lights Creek, looking downstream.

Looking upstream.

My 3" dredge.

So excited to get in the water I didn't even stop to put my wet suit on. Also pictured is my good friend Dan, whos help went way above and beyond. It was greatly appreciated by all three of us.

After two hours of dredging, I finally got cold enough to don my wet suit.

Getting down to bedrock.

My beautiful dredge tender who also happens to be my wife.

My partner, Bruce, helping move rocks.

Bruce's turn on the nozzle.

Bruce chunking yet ANOTHER ROCK!!!

I'm chatting with my good friends Norm and his wife Donna who are doing a little sluicing.

My wife taking a break from tending the dredge to do a little sluicing herself.

They were having so much fun that I took a break from throwing rocks to do some sluicing too.

An unwanted visitor who chased my wife out of the water.

Here is Bruce and myself panning out the cons from the dredge. Lots of black sand and fine gold.

A picture of a fawn, which was one of a set of twins, that we saw just after leaving the claim for the day.

A picture of the downstream view of my Trinity county claim. Notice all the smoke from the fires that were in the area. The fires were actually on my claim just a few weeks earlier.

Here is the upstream view. As you can see, the water is still high and fast. There were actually people white-water rafting.

Here I am doing a little test panning. I did find some of the "Good Stuff". I am planning another trip for some serious prospecting on this claim the last of September.
